Olen 31-vuotias savolainen kuvataiteilija ja lastenohjaaja. Taiteeni tutkii empatiaa, rakenteellista naisvihaa ja taiteen kykyä parantaa. Teen taidetta, joka kannustaa katsojia leikkimään. Veistosteni ulkomuoto pohjautuu tapaani piirtää lapsena. Ilmaisuni tarkoituksellinen “kömpelyys” ja leikkiin palaaminen ovat minulle antikapitalistista aktivismia, jonka toivon herättävän iloa. Installaationi ovat lähes poikkeuksetta moniaistillisia. Tämänhetkinen tulehtunut poliittinen ilmapiiri ja vihapuheen normalisoituminen herättävät minussa tarpeen muistuttaa huolenpidon tärkeydestä.

I am a 31-year-old visual artist and early-age educator from Savo, Finland. My art explores empathy, structural misogyny, and the healing potential of art. I create works that encourage viewers to play. The visual form of my sculptures is based on the way I used to draw as a child. The intentional “clumsiness” of my expression and the return to play are, for me, a form of anti-capitalist activism, which I hope will evoke joy. My installations are multisensory witch I wish to make them more accessible. The current polarized political climate and the normalization of hate speech create in me a need to remind of the importance of care.
